Driver terms
Last updated 3 September 2026
The short version: you are paying your parking fee to the car park. We collect it for them. Your stay, and anything to do with it, is between you and the car park.
1. Who you are dealing with
1.1 Scan to Park is operated by BB AI Limited (company number 17441545) of Astute House, Wilmslow Road, Wilmslow, SK9 3HP. You can contact us at [email protected].
1.2 Your contract for parking is with the car park, not with us. We collect the payment on the car park’s behalf and pass it to them.
1.3 We act for the car park only. We do not act on your behalf or represent your interests, and we are not a party to your arrangement with the car park.
2. Your payment is complete when we receive it
2.1 When you pay through this page, your obligation to pay the car park is discharged in full at that moment. The car park cannot ask you to pay again because we have not yet passed the money on.
2.2 Keep your reference code. It is your proof of payment and the car park can look it up.
3. What you are paying for
3.1 The price is set by the car park, not by us. What you see on the page is what you pay.
3.2 Paying does not reserve you a parking bay and does not guarantee space. It pays the parking fee for the duration or amount you select. Whether space is available is the car park’s responsibility, subject to their own rules and capacity. If you cannot find a space, ask the car park — see section 6.
3.3 You confirm that the details you enter are accurate, including your vehicle registration where the car park asks for it.
3.4 Where the car park lets you choose your own duration or amount, you are responsible for selecting one that covers the whole time your vehicle is parked. Overstaying the duration you paid for is a matter between you and the car park, and we do not check or enforce it.
4. Payment
4.1 Payment is taken by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
4.2 Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where the car park charges it.
4.3 We email you a receipt. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder, then contact us.
5. Cancellation
5.1 Because a parking fee is a leisure/travel service for a specific time, the 14-day cancellation right that applies to most online purchases does not apply here. This is under regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
5.2 That does not affect your rights if the car park fails to provide what you paid for, or if you were charged the wrong amount.
6. Refunds
6.1 Refunds are the car park’s decision under their own terms. Ask the car park first — they can request a refund through their dashboard and we will process it.
6.2 If you were charged the wrong amount, or charged twice, or something went wrong on our side, contact us directly at [email protected] and we will sort it out.
6.3 Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days.
6.4 Please talk to us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback takes weeks and costs the car park money even when the underlying problem was a simple mistake we could have fixed the same day. This is a request, not a restriction — your rights with your card provider are unaffected.
7. Your information
7.1 We collect your vehicle registration where the car park asks for it, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and a record of the payment. We need this to take the payment, send your receipt, tell the car park which vehicles have paid, and keep proper accounting records.
7.2 We share this with the car park, and with our payment processor and email provider.
7.3 The car park will have its own privacy notice covering what it does with the information afterwards.
7.4 Our full privacy notice — including how long we keep things and how to ask for a copy of your data or its deletion — is at /privacy.
8. Age
You must be 18 or over to make a payment. A parent or guardian can pay on behalf of a younger driver.
9. Our responsibility to you
9.1 We are responsible for taking your payment correctly and getting it to the car park. If we get that wrong, we will put it right.
9.2 We are not responsible for the car park itself. Space availability, safety, surface condition, how you are treated on site, the weather — all of that sits with the car park.
9.3 We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Beyond that, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid through this page.
9.4 Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. If something goes wrong
10.1 If the payment page will not work, or your card is declined, contact the car park directly — their phone number is on the page — and pay them another way. Do not stand at the barrier arguing with a website.
10.2 To complain to us: [email protected]. We will acknowledge within one working day.
11. General
11.1 We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one shown when you paid.
11.2 English law applies, and you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring a claim there instead.
11.3 If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
